Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter everyone! We have had a wonderful Easter day. We had to remind the kids after waking up and playing for 45 minutes together upstairs that they should go check and see if the Easter Bunny came to our house and see what she left. Sandon went down and came back up to our room so excited saying "Mom, the Easter bunny brought Daddy a guitar(hero) and me a Wii". (We've been trying to get a Wii since Christmas and every place has been out of them so we had it and thought we would just give it to him today, normally they would not receive anything near this expensive for Easter) Then they found their vase of beans that had been replaced by jelly beans. For the last month in our house we would fill the vase up with pinto beans when ever someone said or did something nice for someone in the family....i.e. good behavior, cleaning up, compliments, manners etc. It totally worked bribing them to do things. They loved the idea and were so surprised that the Easter bunny remembered to replace the beans with real jelly beans. Our kids were very spoiled this year!! There were so many Easter eggs that Raleigh got tired of looking for them and gave up even though half of them were on the floor within her reach. She went straight for the creme cadbury eggs in her Easter basket and chowed down! We hope you all had as great of an Easter day as we have. One of the things Sandon got in his Easter basket was a "CARS" wallet and he was so excited to open and find that their was actually some money in it!

The kids couldn't wait to unload the eggs and open them all up to find out what kind of candy they got.

This is what the two of them did all afternoon. Mom got to play a couple too! I kicked Doug's butt on 1 song of Guitar hero.

Yummy Easter cupcakes! They actually looked prettier than they tasted. They weren't very good at all! My kids just eat the frosting off of the top anyway (which was the gross part)

Cabela's trip

We were supposed to go to the zoo on this Saturday but when we got there a huge rain, snow, windstorm arrived so instead we made our way down to the Cabela's store. We took one of the kids favorite babysitters with us (Jenika).

Treehouse Museum

Sandon's preschool class took a field trip to the treehouse museum in downtown Ogden. We had never been there before and the kids had a great time. We will definitely go back again. It was hard to fit all for the activities into one trip.

Any good books out there?

I recently added a little list of books that I have recently read and thought to let others know about. If any of you have any recent books that you have read that you loved please let me know. I'm looking for some new good reads. I do already know about the Twilight series but haven't gotten my hands on them yet. Please let me know!!

Linkin Park Video

Linkin Park Concert!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we had a big weekend of concerts. Last Friday night we saw Rascal Flatts in concert with Kellie Pickler opening up for them. Surprisingly enough she sounded awesome live and was her corky self. Rascal Flatts were just OK, we saw them back a few years ago and liked them better then. But Saturday night was my Big night that I have been waiting for for months. I love Linkin Park and Doug got us tickets months ago......I've been counting down and it finally arrived last Saturday. We had awesome seats and it was one of the best concerts ever (next to being pulled up on stage dancing with Kicks brooks at the Brooks and Dunn concert). They sounded awesome live. Everyone was standing, singing all the lyrics and dancing the whole time. Doug and I were sore the next day from all the dancing and rocking out. I highly highly highly recommend going and seeing them in concert.

Kiddie Candids

Sorry I've been such a slacker on the blog lately. With the move and both Doug and I starting new jobs it's been really crazy. Here are some fun candids of the kids.....

On President's day one of the projects the kids did in Sandon's preschool class was make Yankee Doodle hats and talk about him and the song. Here he is below proudly showing off his masterpiece.

Notice my sons inherited OCD of all green color crayons in his hand! That would be from me.

Raleigh loves to color just as much as the next kid, but most of it ends up on her or the table. I love having really dark counter tops!!

Sandon and Raleigh went to their friend Ethan's Birthday party today and came home with a few extra cupcakes...don't you just hate cleaning up chocolate, it's so messy! Thank goodness for Oxy-clean or Raleigh's clothes would be ruined after the first time she wears them.

Raleigh loves the camera, but it sure doesn't love her. She thinks that this is a pretty smile when she says cheese.....someday she'll learn!
