Play food Party

The kids and I decided to have a food party today. Raleigh especially loves to do this. Must be a girl thing. They love the fake ice cream cones.

Gothic Toes!

Sandon always asks if he can have his toes painted because Raleigh and I get ours done. Dad said the only way he could have his toes painted was if they were black. So the next day Sandon and I bought some black nail polish and painted our toes.

Daddy's Birthday Party!!!

We had a surprise Birthday party for Daddy yesterday. Sandon and I decorated the kitchen with balloons all over the walls, helium balloons on the ceiling and confetti all over. The kids picked out the cake and presents for Dad. We told him to be home at 5:00pm so he could make pizza's with the kids before going to play frisbee football. He had no idea since his real Birthday is on Saturday. He walked in the door and we all blew our horns and yelled surprise! Then we sang Happy Birthday to him and had him blow out trick candles. That was fun!! We had a pizza party for dinner and finished with the cake. He was pretty surprised. Sandon had the best time out of all of us. It's amazing what simple small things make kids happy. Raleigh was such a mess from the cake that she went straight to the tub! This was the 11th Birthday that Doug and I have celebrated together, and I love him more each year. Happy Birthday Daddy! We love you so much!

Big Brother

Sandon is such a good big brother. Here he is teaching Raleigh how to do a Somersault, and just playing nice together. Good times!!

Raleigh's 1st steps

Raleigh took her first steps by herself last Sunday. We stood her up between Doug and I and had her try to walk back and forth between us and she did it without hesitation. Then she took steps by herself from the middle of the room. She is so independent. She has to do everything on her own, you can't push her or she reverts backwards. We are so proud of the progress she is making. She is crawling a lot more now instead of scooting. She is still really short so it's so cute to see her walk. She is too little to be walking, but months wise she is beyond ready.

2 Babies

Raleigh always wants to be like Sandon, and Sandon always wants to be like Raleigh. In this case Sandon was trying to be like Raleigh. I've told him so many times to leave the baby saucer alone that I just give up and let him have his fun.

Load of Fun

Sandon loves to play with laundry. After he plays with it, he does help me fold it. He is becoming a pro at folding towels.

MOUTH FULL OF SOAP

We had just opened a new bottle of blueberry bubbles that we had bought for the kids on our trip to Las Vegas. Sandon was playing with his bubble wand and Raleigh had followed him outside. Doug went out to check on the kids and yelled for me to get the camera and come outside. He then said she's all yours!! The pictures say it all.

Our 1st trip without KIDS!!!!

We stayed at the South Point Resort off the strip for the first 2 nights. It is a beautiful new hotel with lots to do. It had a movie theatre, bowling alley, Bingo hall, and pools. You really don't need to leave the hotel. It would be great for kids too.

We went to the Excalibur's "Tournament of Kings" show and had a great time. It's midevil times, so you have to eat your dinner they serve with your hands. It was good food, and the entertainment was great for kids and adults. This was a picture of the Dragon Warrior and his horse from the show.

We stayed at the MGM Grand the last night we were there. We went to a nice French dinner and to the "KA" show by Cirque du soleil, It was awesome!! I highly recommend this show to all. The 5 pools were great and the river pool was so much fun. Laying in the sun and swimming is so much better without kids. The rooms were beautiful, beds comfy, and the hotel itself was amazing.

Doug and I have decided that our favorite hotel on the strip is the Venetian. We would love to stay there the next time we go to Vegas. You totally feel like you are walking the streets in France.

Doug and I had such a good time alone in Las Vegas. I was so nervous to leave the kids. It ended up going by so fast, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Maybe too much cause we weren't quite ready to come back.

Spending time with Grandpa & Grandma

My parents watched our kids while Doug and I went to Vegas last week for 4 days. Aren't they courageous? I was so worried about leaving my kids because I have never done it before. Needless to say our vacation went by way too fast, and when we got home our kids had such a good time with Grandpa and Grandma that they didn't even miss us. Sandon still asks if Mommy and Daddy can go on vacation so Grandpa and Grandma can come take care of him. I feel so loved! I'm sure that as much fun as my parents had with the kids, it is always nice for the parents to come home and take over. This will be great memories for the kids to have!!

Sandon and Grandpa had matching shirts on today and didn't even plan it! They didn't even know that they had the same shirt.
