Raleigh's Surgery

Raleigh had her tonsils, adenoids, and both sides of her nose cauterized for bloody noses done today at the McKay Surgical Center. The day got off to a good start as you can see by the pictures, but it all went down hill after the surgery. She is a little inconsolable and groggy from the anesthesia. We'll do great once we get through this first day. We are looking forward to no more sickness, and bloody noses. Wish us luck over the next couple days and also we are crossing our fingers that the baby doesn't decide to come this week!!!!!

The water works begin back in the recovery room...I've been praying for extra patience all day!

This is where they placed the IV for the surgery. She did not like it there one bit and kept trying to pull at it. That is why they don't put it in there arm. Anytime a Dr. or nurse would come and check on her she would pull her blanket up over her face and didn't want to look at them. I think she thought that they tricked her!!!!

Piper's Car Seat Cover

I see such cute car seat covers everywhere these days. I've checked out the pricing of them at the kiosks at the mall and the pricing is outrageous. I thought I would be creative and make an original one of my own. Yes I sewed the whole thing myself....It turned out perfect! Maybe I should start making these and selling them for half the price of the ones at the mall???

Here are the bow ties to keep the cover from coming off. They are sewed onto the cover itself and then they velcro over the handle.

The inside of the car seat cover matches the hairbows on the skeletons on the outside!

Baby Update

I went into my midwife today for my weekly check up. I am only dilated to a barely 2 if that and 50% effaced. I got a ways to go.....baby measures around 6 lbs, so thank goodness it looks like she will be small like my other 2. I'll keep you posted! My next appt is next Wednesday the 7th of April :)

The count down to Easter

I found this cute idea in a "Family Fun" magazine. Using an egg carton you put treats in each slot and each day for 12 days before Easter, the kids get to pick a circle to punch through and open to find a surprise! Our kids love to find coins, so we used a lot of them for the treats......way easy and way FUN!!

Our Raleigh Kay

Raleigh was sucking on a Valentine's sucker and we couldn't believe how blue it turned her tongue. The sucker itself is probably not the best thing for a kid to eat considering all the dye that is in it to turn her tongue like that...Gross!!

The count down begins.....5 weeks to go if that......i'm hoping to go early like I have with the other kids!
