Halloween parties

So yesterday was our ward trunk or treat and dinner. The kids were so excited to go, Sandon kept counting down till it was time to go trunk or treating. This also happened to land on our good friends Sam and Kellie's Halloween party night. Enjoy!!

Sandon's preschool class had a field trip to our local fire station earlier this month, so it worked out perfect with Sandon's Halloween costume. It made him more excited to wear it.

Halloween Fun

My scary monsters. They had a lot of fun with these teeth once they learned how to put them in. Raleigh kept putting them in backwards and Sandon couldn't figure out how to keep them in his mouth.

We've made it a tradition that the kids get to pick their own pumpkin and paint it how ever they want to. Instead of carving a bunch of pumpkins we pick one big family pumpkin to carve and little ones for the kids. It's so much easier this way!

Dad always carves the family pumpkin. The kids chose what face they wanted on the pumpkin and Dad did it for them. Doesn't it look cute!! He did a good job. Thanks Dad!!!

Look what we woke up to last Sunday morning. It was just in the 70's 3 days earlier. We had a cold front come in and woke up to 8 inches of snow. It didn't stay long cause our temps went back up to the 70's this week thank goodness. I am not ready for another long winter or loads of snow again......I want to hold off as long as possible.

Grandma Keiko's visit

Grandma Keiko came to visit the kids a couple of weeks ago. The kids had so much fun with her. The kids took her to their favorite duck pond and fed the ducks, geese, and swan. They also took her to Temple Square and showed her the Salt Lake Temple and conference center gardens on the roof. It was our first tour on the roof of the conference center and it was absolutely beautiful. You do not feel like you are up on the roof of a building, it feels like you're walking in a beautiful park. We had such a good time and were sad that it was such a short visit.

Fun in September

It seems like anyone with dark brown hair and a pair of glasses are being referred to looking like VP elect Sarah Palin.....Here is our very own version in our home, thumbs up and all. Not really! Raleigh found Sandon's glasses and thought she was funny wearing them around the house.

This was gross, a couple Sundays ago we were going for a family walk and opened the front door to leave and there was a bat sleeping on our porch. Doug turned on the porch light and a few minutes later he was gone. I guess he was trying to find a dark spot to sleep and Doug ruined that for him.

The kids helped me make blueberry muffins. They love to help me out in the kitchen. The love Rediwhip so of course we had to top the muffins off with it! yummy!!

Raleigh loves to work out with me, especially when I'm doing step aerobics. She put on my wristband and hairband and went to work on the step. She looks like some of us did in the 80's!!

Cherry Hill Water Park

We decided to get a family pass this year to Cherry Hill Park. We definitely got our moneys worth out of the pass. The kids and I were there 1-2 days a week. It was so much fun and the kids got more comfortable with being in and around water. Mom and Dad enjoyed laying around pool side in the sun and packing picnic lunches. It was great family time.

First Day of School

So this was the morning of Sandon's first day of preschool. This was way back on September 2nd I think. I'm slowly but surely getting caught up on all my pics. He was so excited to go and would count down the weeks and days using how many more times he had to go to church before school started. He would tell this to total strangers in the stores. The kid loves to socialize, nothing like his mom but just like his dad.
