Doug's Big Sprain

Doug sprained his ankle really bad about 6 weeks ago and I'm just now getting to the pics. We were at the park and he was leaping over a fence and his foot landed half on the sidewalk and half off the sidewalk. It looked like there was a golf ball sticking out of his ankle. We had x-rays done and it wasn't broken, but most times it's almost better to break it than to recover from sprains. A couple days after this is when all the black and blue bruising along with continued swelling showed up. Pretty nasty!!!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Raleigh

Raleigh turned 3 years old on April 26th. We decorated the kitchen with streamers and balloons everywhere. She was totally surprised when she walked through the streamers hanging from the kitchen entry way into a floor full of balloons and streamers all over. She picked her own Birthday cake too (Princess of course). She really wanted an ICarly Birthday cake, but I couldn't find one anywhere. We made up for it in ICarly presents. She was so excited to get her ICarly stuff....See pics below!!!

It was Raleigh's own idea to put her princess crown on when she woke up for her party!!

This is Raleigh's bag for preschool this coming fall....of course it is ICarly.

Raleigh likes anything that looks like mom's stuff. She got a pretend beauty kit and some real make up.....clear lip gloss and some blush and nail polish. She is soooo girly and wants to be just like mom.

Getting ready for Easter

We have had an exciting week getting ready for Easter. We dyed eggs earlier this week, which was great except for every time you open the refrigerator it reeks like rotten eggs. I decided to do the good tasks bean jar again, and it worked like magic. I told the kids that whenever they do nice things, chores or are being good they can put beans in the jar. If they fill it up the Easter bunny will take the beans and replace them with jelly beans. Worked like a charm. One of my girlfriends put together an Easter egg hunt at her home on Friday and had fun activities for the kids to do. They had such a great time and I took plenty of picks so enjoy!!

The kids received packages on the same day from both of their Grandmas! They were so excited to open them and devour the contents inside. Thanks Grandma Richie and Grandma Keiko.

Bend a what, Bend a who, BendaRoos!

While Doug was down in Vegas a couple weeks ago for a trade show for work, he stumbled upon these Bendaroos. I'm sure you've probably heard the commercial on T.V. Every time Sandon would hear that commercial he would tell us to come quick and look and that he really wanted to get them. Doug picked them up in Vegas for $10. The kids absolutely love playing with these. Mom has gotten into it too. They really are a lot of fun and you can twist them into anything and play with them over and over again. Great idea!!

Spring???Just Kidding

So last week we really had spring with temperatures close to 70 degrees. We took advantage of it and the kids are now into running and racing. We thought we'd take some photos. Can you tell who the photographer is in this first picture. I'll give you a hint...look at the tiny little finger on the bottom left! This week we have had snow off and on since Monday. Mother Nature please make up your mind. If you are taking suggestions I prefer SPRING not WINTER!!! And no it's not the camera flash making Sandon and I extra pasty, it's the lack of outdoors and being locked inside all winter :)
