Sorry So Long

It's been 6 months since I have posted. We had a busy, crazy, and partly horrible summer. We found out I was pregnant at the end of August and the sickness set in. I was in bed for 9 weeks straight puking all day long. The only way I could keep anything down was to take Zofran, a drug they use for chemo patients. It helped with the vomiting but not the nausea and lethargy. I had to go in and get IV's when I became too dehydrated. That was a joy. They couldn't find any veins and four nurses later they got one. I also had the joy of 2 intestinal blockages from eating nothing and laying in bed all day. We have decided that this will be the last baby for us. This pregnancy has been too hard for all of us. Thank goodness Doug has been a saint through all of this and took over everything. We found out that the baby is a girl and due in April. I have finally gone back to work.....thank goodness they were understanding about all of this and the other girls covered my shifts. Life is getting a little better each day and we can now finally start to think about being excited for our new arrival. I'm so jealous of all you girls that have no sickness with pregnancy. You are soooo lucky!!

I did finally add some posts to our blog if you want to check it out. I'll try and do a better job of updating now that I am functional.

First snow fall

Last Saturday November 14th it snowed all day. The kids begged us to play outside so we managed to find all of their winter clothes and let them go to town playing in the snow. They had such a blast throwing snowballs at Mom and Dad in the window and making snow angels. I couldn't find my snow pants so Doug and I stayed inside and made Muddy Buddies for the family to eat after playing in the snow.

Happy Halloween

I flew home to Seattle on Halloween for my Dad's retirement party and missed trick or treating with the kids that night. I did get to go to their school parties to celebrate. Doug and the kids picked me up from the airport the following Tuesday and got me some welcome home flowers. Raleigh spoiled the surprise in the car on the way home. She just couldn't keep the secret.

Happy Birthday Doug!

For Doug's Birthday I got him a certificate to ifly and Flow rider.....He was unsure about going until his buddies decided to go too. They had a blast!!! Doug's shoulder is still bothering him from surfing. He's old!!! This was in September. I'm just now getting to the photos.

Back to School

These are pictures of the kids on their first day of school. Sandon is in kindergarten this year and was so excited for his first day of school. I dropped him off at the school wearing sunglasses cause I knew I would cry and they did a great job of hiding it for me. When I went to pick him up from school he told me he didn't want to ride home with me and that he wanted to ride the bus home. So I met him at the bus stop and he has been riding it ever since. Now Raleigh on the other hand cried when I left her at preschool on the first day. She was a little nervous because she knew her teacher had a dog and she absolutely hates animals. It took one day for her to get over it and she loves it now.

Doug's Big Sprain

Doug sprained his ankle really bad about 6 weeks ago and I'm just now getting to the pics. We were at the park and he was leaping over a fence and his foot landed half on the sidewalk and half off the sidewalk. It looked like there was a golf ball sticking out of his ankle. We had x-rays done and it wasn't broken, but most times it's almost better to break it than to recover from sprains. A couple days after this is when all the black and blue bruising along with continued swelling showed up. Pretty nasty!!!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Raleigh

Raleigh turned 3 years old on April 26th. We decorated the kitchen with streamers and balloons everywhere. She was totally surprised when she walked through the streamers hanging from the kitchen entry way into a floor full of balloons and streamers all over. She picked her own Birthday cake too (Princess of course). She really wanted an ICarly Birthday cake, but I couldn't find one anywhere. We made up for it in ICarly presents. She was so excited to get her ICarly stuff....See pics below!!!

Raleigh likes anything that looks like mom's stuff. She got a pretend beauty kit and some real make up.....clear lip gloss and some blush and nail polish. She is soooo girly and wants to be just like mom.
