Welcome Baby Girl Piper!

A week in the life of Piper Anne Goodman. Born April 20, 2010 at 1:57am at Ogden Regional Hospital. She was 6lbs 14oz and 19 inches long.

Doug and I thought it would be fun to let the kids paint my pregnant belly since this is most likely our last pregnancy. The kids had so much fun being creative. It was all fun and games until it was time for me to clean it off and it hurt!!OUCH!!

Last Dr. Visit

So I went for my last OB appointment last night before I have this baby and still nothing has changed dilation or effacement wise...we'll see how long labor will be for her to get her. 4 more days to go, unless she decides differently :) I'll keep you posted!

Suprise Baby Shower!

So my sweet husband and dear friend Angie organized a surprise baby shower for me this last Saturday. I truly had no idea!! I thought Angie and I were going for 1 last pedicure and lunch before Piper gets here, but to my surprise it was a baby shower. I was really impressed with the decorations and theme. Doug got everything in girlie pirate theme to match the pirate car seat cover I had made. Way cute! Thank you to all you girls who came. And a big THANK YOU to ANGIE, DEB and FREDDY for letting us use your home and preparing all the delicious food. We had a great time!!!

Cheri came up with this idea for the shower. She brought all the supplies to make flowers to attach to headbands and all the girls at the shower made one, and I got to bring the finished product home. Thanks girls...they will be put to good use I promise that !

Raleigh helping mom open baby gifts. We were giggling because my other 2 children both have glass piggy banks like this one. Not the same color, but perfect to add to the piggy bank collections.

We had to take a picture of this cute onesie. We thought Doug's mom would like it since she is Japanese!

Baby update

So I went in today for my weekly routine check up and nothing has changed from last week. I did lose a pound and the baby is bigger that's all the new info there is. My midwife thinks this baby will be bigger than my other ones which is weird cause I've only gained 20 pounds and was more sick with this one. I hope she is wrong!!! If the baby doesn't come before the 19th of April then that will be the lucky day they induce me. We'll see.....

Raleigh's Surgery

Raleigh had her tonsils, adenoids, and both sides of her nose cauterized for bloody noses done today at the McKay Surgical Center. The day got off to a good start as you can see by the pictures, but it all went down hill after the surgery. She is a little inconsolable and groggy from the anesthesia. We'll do great once we get through this first day. We are looking forward to no more sickness, and bloody noses. Wish us luck over the next couple days and also we are crossing our fingers that the baby doesn't decide to come this week!!!!!

The water works begin back in the recovery room...I've been praying for extra patience all day!

Finally asleep......this lasted 15 minutes

This is where they placed the IV for the surgery. She did not like it there one bit and kept trying to pull at it. That is why they don't put it in there arm. Anytime a Dr. or nurse would come and check on her she would pull her blanket up over her face and didn't want to look at them. I think she thought that they tricked her!!!!
